Camp Jam and NAMM's Ready-Set-Rock! Tour hit Denver this past weekend, showing up at Rockley Music in Lakewood and Drum City/Guitar Center in Wheat Ridge. The NBC station in Denver, 9News, went out to get a look at the kids jamming in the Rock Solo contest and schooling rock legend Derek St. Holmes in the Guitar Hero competition.
That's no joke, look at this quote from the article:
"I don't have [Guitar Hero] down," laughed St. Holmes. "The kids get a kick out of me."
If the Ready-Set-Rock! Tour is coming to a music store near you soon, it looks like you'll have a good chance of beating the rock star before he gets more practice at the game. Check out the dates for your town and register for the Rock Solo contest and the Guitar Hero competition at the Camp Jam MySpace page.
Congratulations to seven-year-old David Brakel for winning the Rock Solo contest and a week at Camp Jam rock music camp this summer.

We'll have more pics and some video from the tour stops this past weekend in Denver and Cleveland, so make sure to come back later this week.
