Hands-On, Real-Life Educational Experience Offered to Overnight Camp Jammers in Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Long Island (Hofstra U), San Francisco, and DC Areas
The Musicians Institute College of Contemporary Music (MI) partners with Camp Jam Rock Music Camp to offer young camp jammers an unforgettable educational experience in Camp Jam's 2010 overnight programs held in six cities across the U.S.
Led by Jennifer Batten, MI graduate and former guitarist for Michael Jackson, the new Camp Jam program addition will feature a team of MI instructors available to provide overnight campers the following: lessons in songwriting and recording, live-performance workshops, more rehearsal and stage time and small-group teaching sessions. Groups will also get the opportunity to make an MTV-style video with their band.
"Camp Jam is all about creating a real-life band experience for young rockers. The Musicians Institute is famous for taking that concept to a professional level, so it was natural to put the two together and give Camp Jam Overnight participants a taste of what they can accomplish if they pursue their music education," said Steve Freeman, MI graduate and national director for Camp Jam.
Recently featured on MTV’s Camp’d Out – I’m Going to Rock Camp series, Camp Jam's 2010 overnight rock music camp has become extremely popular and is now available in six cities across the U.S. Register today for one of Camp Jam's three new overnight locations in the Long Island (Hofstra U), San Francisco, and DC Areas or for the Atlanta, Pittsburgh and Chicago markets.
