WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!!!

As parents we have loved the Camp Jam program since we found it 3 years ago, but Music Director Jimmy Griffin really put his year OVER THE TOP! We thought week one was awesome, but week 2 was beyond phenominal!!

My three children attended Camp Jam Orlando 2009 (two in Camp Jam, one in Camp KIDZ) and I want to let you know you have some great people working there. Kristen Hart is the director of the CampKIDZ program and she is phenomenol! Her warm, encouraging personality is perfect for young musicians. I was amazed at the performance Friday night. Kris and Greg onstage (and Kelly behind the scenes) got the kids through a solid performance. Together they had a gentle enthusiasm that inspired the kids to rock on. The kids played entire songs and they sounded great! Kris, Greg and Kelly are a terrific team and our family hopes to see them there again next year.

Another person we would love to see again is the camp director, Joe Sandusky. He runs a camp brimming with excitement that allows young musicians to work together and greatly expand their musical abilities.

Thank you for giving us a place like Camp Jam -- it is a magical environment for young musicians!

My daughter, Samantha, attended Camp Jam Kidz at Fairfield University this summer, and I just wanted to let Camp Jam know that you ran a fabulous program. Samantha loved it, and I have already signed her up for next year's session.

Though she always liked her guitar lessons, she never had the opportunity to show off what she learned or to perform in public. It is like taking acting lessons but never being part of a production. Samantha and her friends have talked about creating a band for many months now. Being ten, it was just a lot of talk, but Camp Jam made it happen for a week.

I would like to give special thanks to Joe Kiernan, Director of the Kidz program. He was extremely professional and put together a well-organized and fun program. He was accessible to students and parents alike. Please also thank Scott Kacenga for me. He was the "band manager" for Samantha's group and he related very well to the kids and really helped them put on a great performance. Samantha had a ton of fun. You guys did a great job!

My daughter, Madison, just finished the best week of summer camp ever - Camp Jam Kids in Phoenix (Scottsdale). All of the camp counselors were great but Michael Woods was absolutely amazing with the kids! He not only taught them an amazing amount in only 5 short days but did it with such caring, patience, compassion and enthusiasm. We look forward to returning next summer for Camp Jam Kids, and each year thereafter.

The concert Friday was amazing and a tribute to the hard work of all the counselors and kids, and Mike's amazing teaching talents. Unfortunately, with all of the excitement of the concert yesterday afternoon we forgot to give Mike the gift we had for him. Our family really wants Mike to know how much we appreciate all he did with the kids, and especially with Madison. We would so appreciate if you could either forward our contact information to Mike so that he can contact us directly or if you, with Mike's permission, provide us with an address to sent his gift.

Wow!!! It was awesome! Our daughter had the best time. She really gained a huge perspective of what it is like to be in a group and not just a solo artist. She had never sang with a band and her stage presence was greatly improved. She loved the counselors, loved her fellow rockers and was so sad on Friday when it ended. Although the camp ended, she is pursuing an opportunity with some of the guys from the camp who already had a band but needed a singer. She is stoked!

Thank you for all you do and for the opportunity you provided our daughter. It was more than worth ever penny of the tuition price and we will be back next year!

ACA accredits over 2,400 camps. ACA-Accredited® camps meet up to 300 standards for health, safety, and program quality. Camp Jam was first accredited in 2005 at our original Atlanta location and follows those practices throughout all of our locations nationwide and in Canada. Every three years, Camp Jam must go through the entire process again of meeting all the standards ACA deems necessary to run a safe camp and promote a healthy environment.
