Designed by Kamaal Malak, noted producer and former bassist for the Grammy Award Music Group Arrested Development, Camp Jam's Live Audio Video Tech program is taught by industry professionals that cover all aspects of staging a successful live concert production. Camp Tech students will receive hands on experience as they hook up PA systems, stage amps, perform sound checks and mix live bands on a professional mixing console. Camp Techs will also have the opportunity to work with bands on stage as an instrument and stage technician.

Furthermore, camp jammers enrolled in the Tech program will learn how to visually capture musicians and bands on video after they story board and plot stage performances, behind the scenes shots, rehearsals, classes and other memorable moments.

"As veterans in the music industry, we at Camp Jam know that all great rock bands have a team of skilled professionals that operate behind the scenes at every live performance," said Jeff Carlisi, Camp Jam co-founder. "These pros are just as important as the band members on stage and we, therefore, want our Camp Jam students to have a well-rounded music education with the option and ability to also learn this side of the business."

The program culminates with a final audio and video project that is edited and uploaded on the Camp Jam YouTube channel for friends and family to view. Camp Jam Techs will also be an essential part of the final concert as they assist the bands on and off the stage, run live sound and assist filming the performances.

There is no music experience required for those interested in enrolling. However, space is limited with only 10 slots available per session and therefore, advance registration is encouraged.
